So, Mariscos 8 checks all the boxes for a cantina. Prices are high for what you get though. But given their location, it’s probably their overhead (rent) if I had to guess. They were out of tuna the day I visited and I ended up ordering shrimp tacos. Which is exactly what you get: two taco shells with diced shrimp which had been frozen, but was ok. No sides included. With tip two tacos and a shot of gin and cup of ice was US$19.

I regret to say that I enjoyed myself too much to have taken photos. This place is iconic. All the windows are opened, and the fans are on. L They bring hat racks to your table so that you can take your hat off and not lose it. The sinks are just outside the washrooms so that you can refresh easily. There is a waiter station in the centre, a drinks kitchen (I would use the word "bar", but it's run like a kitchen) and an open kitchen. Everyone works hard and is attentive. They serve food and drinks until closing time, though they clean up as much as they can to close the place at 6 pm. It's busy from opening to closing time. The food is great and the ambiance is wonderful.

Went here after going to ecotours excursion while in Puerto vallarta. Amazing food, fresh, loved the atmosphere. Nice place to unwind after leaving the marina. 15 min walk from the cruise port. 3 shrimp empanadas and 2 beers, 14 dollars usd.

I stopped in for a light dinner and a cocktail and decided to try the red snapper sashimi special. The generous portion of fresh snapper paired perfectly with the local Asian fusion marinade—it was absolutely delicious. The margarita was excellent as well! We have returned for lunch and sampled a variety of dishes, including the tostada de ceviche, tostada de marlin, guacamole, shrimp tacos, dorada sashimi, shrimp tiradito, and chicken nuggets. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, making for a delicious meal.

Shrimp empanadas are cheesy and good. The aguachile is a half order. It was more sour than spicy.

Attentive servers that periodically clean your table and make sure you are taken care of. Aguachile verde was spicy, I can only imagine how intense the red aguachile will be. Seafood was very fresh, several different sized portions. Overall, it was a great experience of mexican seafood! Great beverages to accompany any of their dishes. We opted for a mango margarita with 1800 tequila, a cucumber limeade, and a piñada. Solid tuna sashimi, a mixed seafood cocktail ready to make it your own with a variety of tableside suaces.

Cash only seafood restaurant. I ordered mejillones, a bit overcooked but had some flavor. The pulpo and beef were fine. Flan was a favorite. Service was efficient.
